Pakistan as a front line state in so called war against terrorism, will face direct war by US in near future? this is very likely, in the presant senario where presidential elections is pakistan are about to be happened this year september 2007, and what ever the result may be, pakistan will not be in position to fought more and shade their own blood for the name of war against extremism any more, On the other hands where Bush administration (republican party) are loosing their hopes, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would possibly send troops into Pakistan, and more then that Pakistan will risk a U.S. troop invasion and losing hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. military aid. further more Obama said that as commander in chief he would remove troops from Iraq and putting them "on the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan." He said he would send at least two more brigades to Afghanistan and increase nonmilitary aid to the country by $1 billion.
A Pakistani Foreign Ministry statement said: "President Bush stated that the United States fully respected Pakistan's sovereignty and appreciated Pakistan's resolve in fighting Al Qaeda and other terrorist elements." It added that Bush said such statements were "unsavory and often prompted by political considerations in an environment of electioneering". President Musharraf when asked on a dinner at the house of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz about the potential of U.S. military operations in Pakistan, and told guests that Pakistan was "fully capable" of tackling terrorists in the country and did not need any foreign assistance.
On the other side, 1,000 tribesmen rallied in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal area, condemning recent military operations and chanting slogans against the United States for threatening to attack. "We are able to defend ourselves," a local cleric, Maulvi Muhammad Roman, said in a speech at the rally. "We will teach a lesson to America if it attacks us."
whatever the situation may be, pakistan will be in more critical situation then before, and in the global politics where china & russia are balanceing their wings & charging them to secure there intrests in the region. lets see what happens next.
