Need Independent Election Commission for Transparent Voting Process

I would like to share some comments send to me by an overseas Pakistani shahid mahmood from Muscat, pointing toward pakistani election system and corruption which became the state policy under the supervision of upper class or Elite class of Pakistan, read it in his own wording:
I want to grasp your attention to one of the bitter reality of our vote system. Me and most of the Pakistani thinks that Imran khan is the soul hope of ray for Pakistan but gloomy situation is that, I am not seeing him prime minister of Pakistan at least in next 4 to 5 elections and the reason is the voters value where the vote of a heroin addict and 90 years old women and men, who are fetched to polling stations in tractor trollies of the land lords of villages cast their vote as they are ordered, is equal to the vote of a professor so the outcome is always the same corrupt people get to Assemblies where they only make piles of money and establish their relations with the powerful countries of the world at the cost of poor people's bloods. Our public has no right to cry after selecting dirty leaders, I am very pessimistic that how and who will train them morally? solution to me is only , the graduate people should have the right to vote for, I know that there are very few leaders who are graduate, If i call them educated illiterate it would be fair.

Election commission of Pakistan was informed by higher education commission that the degrees of almost 141 MPA's are not readable(Fake Degree Issue), and almost 40 of the members national assembly have missing their degrees or submitted some different certifications instead of degrees.
Fake degrees issues in Pakistan were never taken seriously in the past. In the election of 2008, the abdul hameed Dogar court knocked down the condition of graduation for contesting election. Asif Ali Zardari is reportedly not a graduate and therefore their contesting of presidential election was also not correct in this contest.
This condition was, however, knocked down by the Dogar court before the 2008 presidential elections as being in conflict with the fundamental rights as guaranteed by the Constitution. The doing away with the condition of graduation for the MPs, however, led to the smooth election of Asif Ali Zardari as the President of Pakistan. President Zardari, who is also the co-chairperson of the PPP, is reportedly not a graduate and would, therefore, have been ineligible to contest the 2008 presidential election, had this condition not been struck down by the Dogar court.
A part from this issue every government sector have no body knows how many of this kind of peoples who have fake degrees....Read More

Interesting to see flexibility from president camp, first welcoming Benazir to participate in the election and after that Nawaz Sharif got an opertunity and worm welcome in the punjab. After 4 days dead-line given by APDM to the Government, next meeting will be held on 29 Nov, But no hard lines likely to be come from any opposition party except Pakistan Tahreeq-e-Insaf of Imran Khan who had already boycott the Election. Few other parties also has oppose to take part in the general election. If Free and fair election, Independent election comission, restoration of judiciary including CJ Iftakar Mohammad Choudary, Desolving system of local government, Independent caretaker govenment and Independent Media are the similar demands from all the parties, then why can't they conduct APC (All PArties Conference) to make one voice? Are they remembering the promises which they keep repeating all the time. What about all the suffering by Judiciary, Lawyers movement, Media, Civil society and Common man. Will politicians keep eating all the apples alone again? They should not thrust for power. After all its Allah's will which decide what next is about to come. Our boarder are in fire, our peoples (both in army and tribes) are killing each other and no one can even talk about it except in the favour of Government bacause its Emergency, Ohh Allah what are we doing, Do we not have a single sensible man to think beside his own rule in this Country? I think Justise Wajih-ud-din is a wise man and he had urged all political parties not to take part in Election under current situation.

Supreme court announced on friday a decision about constitutional petition aginst holding dual-office by Gen Musharraf, dismissing the petitions filed by opposition leaders, Government party is celebrating the outcome by the court, as well as Election commision has accepted the nomination papers of Pervez musharaf, Amin fahim (pppp) and Wajih-ud-din (represanting pakistan lawyers). On saturday morning when chief election Commissioner Justice (R) Qazi Farooque scrutinizing the papers of nomination for presidental election great protest were seen by the lawyers against pervez musharaf participation in election with holding office of chief of army staff. protest by karachi bar, lahour bar and from other lawers forum were also reported. Hundreds of lawyers as well as political workers and peoples from civil society were torture and arrested by police and other law inforcement agents, also Press and media has apposed harassment and torture done by the police and other agencies in the civil dress as they were only trying to update the nation with the current news in the country, but came under the police strike willingly. Lawyers had once again decided to go to supreme court let see what effect it may cause on presidential election.
